Ministries on Campus

Everyone at Cathedral-Carmel realizes that religion is not just about teaching subject matter, but being immersed in faith.  We choose a faith vision and value to work on each year.  This year our value is “COURAGE.”
PRE-K-Students will learn our Catholic prayers and grow to understand the meaning of prayer.
KINDERGARTEN-Students participate in the Kindergarten Prayer Service and Promotion Ceremony.
1st GRADE-Honoring St. Francis of Assisi, pets belonging to all first graders can participate in a our annual Pet Blessing.  All pets must be brought to school by a parent/guardian.
2nd GRADE-Students participate in preparation for and receiving their First Holy Communion.  They also participate in the annual May Crowning.
3rd  GRADE-Students study and learn about their favorite saint and on All Saint’s Day, they will dress as their favorite saint and process into mass in the Cathedral.  Third graders also participate in the annual Seder meal.
4th GRADE-Students participate in preparing the St. Joseph’s Altar in our auditorium.
5th GRADE-Students participate in the annual Pumpkin Carving and Pumpkin Prayer Service.
6th GRADE-Students perform the Living Way of the Cross in St. John’s Cathedral.
7th GRADE-Students re-enact the Last Supper and Washing of the Feet for their fellow CCS students.
8th GRADE-Students participate in the Mass of Thanksgiving and Promotion Ceremony.  They are also able to participate in Campus Ministry, which is an organization for students who desire to assist in building the faith-filled community at CCS.  These students serve as role models in Christian service.


  • One (1) annual 8th grade retreat led by the STM Campus Ministry team.
  • One (1) annual 7th grade retreat led by the STM Campus Ministry team.
