We are thrilled to announce the selection of our 5th and 8th Grade Students of the Year!  These exemplary students have demonstrated outstanding academic achievements, leadership qualities, and a commitment to their school community. Our students of the year will now represent Cathedral-Carmel School as they compete on a diocesan level. We wish them all the best!

Our 5th Grade Student of the Year is Elizabeth Hollier.  Elizabeth's loving heart and kind smile are contagious. She is thoughtful, humble, kind, and courageous. She is not afraid to stand up for what is right and leads by example.  Her positive attitude, both in and out of the classroom, encourages others to follow her academic and spiritual lead. Her faith is inspiring to everyone. Congratulations, Elizabeth!

Our 8th Grade Student of the Year is Olivia Cortese.  Olivia's openness and humility truly sets her apart. With a heart grounded in "Christ centered" values, she approaches each day with kindness, compassion, and an unshakable commitment to helping others. Olivia exemplifies servant leadership, modeling a life that is not only driven by academic and personal excellence but also by faith, empathy, and a desire to make a positive difference in the world. Congratulations, Olivia!

We also want to extend our gratitude to all of the student candidates that went through the interview process:

Twice a year faculty members nominate middle school students who they consider to possess a genuinely good heart...who serve as "Christ centered" role models. Our Fall Terrific Tigers were honored at a special recognition breakfast on Friday and their parents were invited to attend. Each student is called forward and presented with a Cathedral-Carmel Tigers Cup filled with goodies, along with a Terrific Tiger Pin and a certificate. Mrs. Aillet reads the words of affirmation written by the faculty member (who remains anonymous) to each student as their peers and family watch. They also receive a certificate with those same words printed inside. Many thanks to Mr. EJ Krampe who always generously donates McDonalds biscuits for this occasion. Congratulations to our fall recipients!

Progress reports for students in 1st-8th grades & REC were emailed to parents on Friday, November 15th. After viewing this report, if you find it necessary to visit with your child’s teacher about grades, please email the teacher and request a conference. -CCS Administration

We are within reach of our campaign goal … only $350,000 left to raise! We anticipate celebrating a Mass of Thanksgiving and the newly restored buildings in November 2025. The reputation of CCS is one of academic excellence, strong Roman Catholic identity, and ongoing vitality and growth. We are forever grateful to you and others who have made CCS what it is today! On behalf of our faculty and students, and those who will one day walk these halls, thank you!
